Two hilarious books for the price of one.....

Battler Battler O'Brien has been a battler all his life... riding the rodeo circuit... droving sheep with his missus on the far west stock route to survive. But with four little jackaroos and jillaroos on the ground and another bun in the oven, Battler saw that the only chance for his family lay with the "Bundaroo" land ballot. He was prepared to do almost anything to win..

Battler's Block All the hilarious things that happen when the irrepressible larrikin bushie and his wild and woolly brood move onto their 50,000 acre "block" way out in the back country. Chaos, calamity, colossal cock-ups, crazy scrub-happy characters, crooked cockies and classic, politically-incorrect conversations ... a good chuckle or three on every page.

WARNING: Don't lend this book to anyone - you'll never get the bastard back!

Since launching her first best seller "I've Met Some Bloody Wags!" by biting the top off a stubbie of beer with her teeth on the Midday Show, Sandy has spent over 20 years travelling Australia, New Zealand and the US promoting bush humour at corporate and public events, festivals and functions. Australia's first female professional bush poet and yarn spinner, Sandy's humour has landed her on Letterman, Larry King, Today Shows etc in the US and on Michael Parkinson's show in London.

Her books are all based on characters she met and worked with on the vast isolated stations of far North Queensland, out back of Bourke and near Lightning Ridge. She has been a jilleroo (still is) , horsebreaker, bull catcher, deckie, builders labourer, and a detention center officer, amongst other things. Sandy lives on laughs and is a proud promoter of fair dinkum Australia bush culture.
